Genetic Testing Services: Genotyping
PCR Assay
Charles River can perform your routine rat and mouse genotyping via PCR, freeing your staff to concentrate on research. Sample submission is simple. Turnaround time is fast. We isolate DNA from tissue biopsies, quantify the DNA, perform the assay, and deliver results to you within two weeks.
If you do not have a PCR assay, we can develop one for you. You will receive a customized report and a protocol detailing your assay should you wish to perform it in your own lab or share it with collaborators.
SNP Assay
We can also develop and perform SNP assays for the genotyping of point mutations. Using fluorescence-based TaqMan® technology, we test your samples on our Applied Biosystems 7900HT Real-Time PCR System. You will receive protocol details for your records.
